Art That Moves You

Abstract art + dance choreography created by a psychotherapist in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Rooted in a passion for human connection and expressing ideas in bold, vibrant, whole-hearted ways that extend beyond words.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Dr. Meaghan Fitzgerald is an abstract artist, dance choreographer, and psychotherapist based in Chattanooga, TN. Her artwork mixes bold with whimsy and is deeply informed by her social work and dance backgrounds. Meaghan has a passion for helping people feel seen, overcome barriers, harness innate gifts, and feel empowered. Meaghan also values the authentic expression found in modern and contemporary dance where movements and shapes made are often unique to the choreographer. Her visual art blends vibrant colors with texture and movement, and her creative process involves a sense of playfulness in motion— painting in multiple layers with many overlapping colors, shapes, and textures to mimic the complexities of the human mind and body. While she is professionally trained to explore thoughts and emotions through words, sometimes the best way to convey meaning is through art.
